Is the free plan really free?
Yes. You can create and download unlimited invoices, quotes and receipts without an account or credit card. The free plan is supported by Pro subscribers and by a few ads on our content pages — never inside the invoice editor.
Can I cancel the monthly plan anytime?
Yes. Use the “Manage subscription” link in your receipt email (or the Lemon Squeezy customer portal) to cancel in a couple of clicks. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Who handles payment, VAT and sales tax?
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They calculate and collect any VAT, GST or sales tax that applies in your country, and issue a proper receipt/invoice for your records. Prices are in US dollars; tax, if any, is shown before you pay.
Does Pro upload my invoices anywhere?
No. Free or Pro, your documents, clients and history are stored only in your browser on your device. To check your license, BillKit only sends your license key and a device ID to our license server — never the content of your documents.
Does BillKit work offline?
BillKit runs entirely in your browser, so once a page has loaded you can keep editing and downloading PDFs without a connection. Your Pro status is remembered on your device and only re-checked every few days, so a flaky connection won't lock you out.
Can I use Pro on more than one device?
Yes — one license can be activated on up to 3 devices or browsers. To move it, choose “Deactivate on this device” on the activation page, then activate it on the new one. Lost access to an old device? Email us and we'll reset your activations.
Where do I find my license key?
Right after purchase, Lemon Squeezy emails you a receipt that contains your license key. You can also find it any time in the Lemon Squeezy “My Orders” portal. Paste it on the activation page to unlock Pro.
What does “Lifetime” mean?
